Problem in the first logon whith netmeeting. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all.
I've got a computer running with Windows XP SP3 and "Steady State" installed.
Every time I create an user and I log in for first time, Neetmeeting tries to install an .inf file and an "acces denied" error appears. It disapears if I chose "accept".
I've read that something similar occurs with Office 2000, but I've Windows2003 installed.
Could you tell me the reason of this or any solution for this problem, please?
    Thank you very much.

To solve this problem i have create the user with windows(users management)and is not a member of administrators group.

     Now the issue is ok.

The problem is when i create the user using steady state.

    Thanks a lot.

Hi muralla, if we create an account in Windows SteadyState, the account should be a standard user. As a result, if we try to install application on this user, we may encounter permission error. Let's try to temporarily change the user to Power User or Administrator to check if the issue is caused by user permission.
