  • Hi,

As far as I know, the command: file:///C:/Windows/System32/ can be used to open File Explorer in Chrome. You lost the colon in the command.

On the other hand, what's your meaning by can't open any programs or files?

  • Hi,

you can use your default search engine to find out inf
ormation about files that may be installed on your computer.... just type a question mark (?) followed by the name of the file in the IE address bar. eg.
    ?hkcms.exe

click this link to open the bing search results page for hkcms.exe

    Web search 'hkcms.exe'

Installed by the Intel 810 and 815 chipset graphic drivers. If you want the Ctrl+Alt+F12 or similar keypresses to access Intel's customised graphics properties, you need it, otherwise not. Can be disabled via the Display Properties in Control Panel

.... sounds like you have a display driver issue.... If this is a home computer it would be best to seek local professional advice/repair since you won't be able the internet to do a windows update for any new drivers... they will be able to boot your machine in safe mode to download and install any driver updates.
