    Dear Experts of Forum

    Please do not ignore this post is repeat / duplicate posting, it is serious concern to me I badly need experts help on this

    Windows 2008 Server Standard Edn allow me to log in as administrator have no desktop icon, no start menu, no taskmanager on Ctl+alt+del but only these option are possible 1)Lock This Computer 2)Switch user, 3) Log Off, 4) Change a Password, 5) Restart / Shutdown

    I have tried solution

    1) Article ID: 970879 but i do not get desktop on boot use F8 key with command prompt with network,

    2) Recovery/ repair with boot able dvd (X:source\recover\startrep.exe

    3) restore last good configure

    Kinldy help me

    It’s a full installation of Windows Server 2008? Not a Server Core installation? Does this happen


    Can you hit Win+R key to launch RUN window? If yes, follow the solution provided in Article ID: 970879. If it does not help, insert the Windows Server 2008 setup DVD and do a repair install. In CMD, run X:\setup.exe and perform In-place Upgrade of Windows Server 2008.
