  • Hi sean, well yes something like that but I had the impression from the following paragraph from the WEPOS7 white paper that this was something new and specific to WEPOS7, however I have searched for "Peripheral Port Disabling" and the only reference I can find is that document!

     

     

     Peripheral port disabling. This feature allows a Group Policy option to manage a plug-and-play device. 

    For example, the Group Policy option can prevent a cash register from recognizing a flash drive and 

    therefore prevent information from being accessed or left behind (such as a virus or other malicious code 

    from an attacker).

     

     

    In the absence of any further suggestions, hopefully I will be able to use the info in the links you have provided to achieve the desired outcome.

  • The links discuss the Group Policy options. I am looking into a different solution since others have requested it.

    Please note most of these settings can be managed through Local Policy in addition to Group Policy.
