Windows Vista will not recognize the USB connection for my iPod RRS feed

    I have a new computer that came with Windows Vista installed.  iTunes works fine, but I cannot update my iPod, as Windows Vista will not recognize the connection of my iPod.  Any tips on patches or downloadable software that may resolve this?

    Hi Knoxvillian,

     

     Try resetting your iPODagain. Plug it to your PC. Vista will detect the iPOD but will ask you about the driver location. When it asked you the path, try this path:   C:\Windows\System32\INF

    Vista doesn't recognise C:\Windows\System32\INF. any other ideas?
