  • Hi,

Could you confirm if the cachemanager was running while you tried to perform the boost ?

  • Yes the cache manager was running  while performing the boost.

  • The ESP_5.3_SP4_Adminserver_patch06 released some time back in December 2011 contained a fix for a specific issue where there were similar problems encountered while boosting documents which contained the term "do?" in the url. Could you confirm what is the patch leve you are on ?

  • Thanks for the update .

I will have to check with the patching team on if they installed the patch or not as I am not able to find this patch in patch history file ?

Can you please root cause for the issue so that I can  go ahead and talk to the concerned team ?

  • Would be tough to drill down to the root cause, yet we can still try to.

Could you let us know what is the data source?

Also, could you check if the term "do?" is contained in the url ? If yes, it has been classified as a known issue and it can be fixed by applying ESP_5.3_SP4_Adminserver_patch06.

  • Yes the Url contains the term "do"

  • Was going thru the readme file for ESP_5.3_SP4_Adminserver_patch06. It says it contains a fix for the below issue.

853846 : problem with boosting a document which contains "do?" in the url

Note : the question mark follows do "do?"

So just need to check if do is folllowed by the question mark symbol(?).

If there are documents containing "do?" in the URL, it's best that the ESP_5.3_SP4_Adminserver_patch06 be applied.

As the issue's been classified as a known bug, don't actually need to expend efforts to find out the root cause of the problem, since a patch has been made available to address the same.

The link to download the patch is :

in case the OS is linux

in case the OS is Windows.

    Hope this helps...
