GPOs to Boost performance RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey can someone point me in the right direction here.  is there a GPO or something out there that will allow me to increase the performance of Windows 7? Particularly at logon,  just takes for ever setting up the desktop.

    Thanks

  • There are a variety of reasons your computers are running slow at startup, a common theme I have found is your startup programs. I suggest disabling all programs from startup. To do this follow these steps:

    1) Open GPO

    2) Go to User configuration, Administrative Templates, System, and Logon

    3) In the right pane, right click on Run these programs at user logon click on Edit

    4) Click Disabled
