Transfer Tasks from Outlook 2010 to Project 2013? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have downloaded a trial version of Project Pro 2013 to test transfer of Tasks from Outlook 2010 to Project. I does not work. Do I have to have Project 2010 to do this? Does the transfer work between Outlook 207 and Project 2010 or do I have to have Project 2007 together with Project 2007?

    The error message:

Project cannot access Outlook or you have no available Outlook task to submit

How can I get a trial version of Project Pro 2010?

    Best regards,

    Henrik

  • Hi Henrik,

To import outlook tasks to Project Pro 2013, you could have Outlook 2007,2010 or 2013. You could refer to outlook requirements here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee624351.aspx

Project 2010 trial download has been removed, but within MS discussion is on to make it available.

  • Henrik --

I just imported tasks from Outlook 2013 into Project 2013, and it works fine.  The error message you see indicates that you have NO tasks to import in Outlook.  Are you certain that you have tasks shown on the Tasks page in Outlook?  If not, add a few tasks on the Tasks page in Outlook and then try again.  Hope this helps.
