in-place upgrade of Backend SQL Server 2012 to 2014 for Skype for business Front End Pool supported? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have Skype for business pool with 3 front end servers running on Back end SQL Server 2012 , and decided to in-place upgrade the SQL Server 2012 to 2014?  will this affect Skype for business functionality,  is it supported from Skype4B perspective? any reference ?

  • Godd question. SQL 2014 is supported, but I have not tested to update SQL 2012 backend to SQL 2014.

    It exist no inplace upgrade for the SQL backen database. I think it should work, but you should think about a way back if it is not working and also that you pool will not be available trhrough this update.
