ProClarity views no longer accessible. RRS feed

  • Hello All,

    I had few ProClarity views in a book and users were using them. I then had created a new view in the same book and published and was accessible to the same set of users along with all the existing ones.

    But now after couple of months since I last published a view to that book, none of the views are accessible to the users except for the most recent one which I had published. I don't know what could be the possible reason. Below is the message which the users are getting when they try to view the previous views in that book:

    " The selected page could not be opened because the cube could not be found. Please choose a different page. "

    Anybody has any idea related to such a problem.

  • Hello,

    This sounds like a problem with the underlying cube, not the views. The cube is no longer available either due to not being processed, or security or something like that.

    Does your more recent view use a different cube to the other views?

    The thing is I can see data using those very views but the users can't (but were at some point). If there was a problem with the cube not available or not processed then in that case I should also not be able to see data using those views.

    And yes the most recent view which users can access runs on a different cube.

  • This sounds like a security issue. If you can see the cubes, then they must be processed and you have permission to view them. That could be because you are an admin so don't need explicit permissions set.

    Have you checked the user permissions? It could be that access was managed by groups and the group membership has changed, or a group has been deleted somehow. Try adding an individual user explicitly to a cube role and test that, or even set up a new role and add someone to it.

    I have same problem. I had few old views & couple of changes happened in Cubes & after that not able to access old Views.

    I have security Setup.
