HYPER-V Clustering Existing Passive Disks DPM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can DPM Volumes be added to a Hyper-V cluster environment. Only basic disks can be added and it was under my impression that DPM automatically switches all disks to dynamic. Is that the case or no.

  • Hi,

DPM changes Volumes to dynamiccaly and it it is highly recommended to limit the use of a volume to SCDPM.

To be more clearly, the volume you will add as a Disk Backup to SCDPM, should not be used for anything else.
