Answers

  • Hello,

is there any issue if I install WSUS and SCCM separately ?

There might be. The clients might receive policies which prevent them from connecting to WSUS server.

However, since you have SCCM installed, I suggest you could use SUP to manage the updates. You only need to install the WSUS console in a site server and then install the SUP.

  • Hello,

    1. Check the firewall and ports.
    2. Run following script in evaluated CMD and wait a while, then check the result in WSUS.

    net stop bits
    net stop wuauserv
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v AccountDomainSid /f
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v PingID /f
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v SusClientId /f
    reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate" /v SusClientIDValidation /f
    rd /s /q "C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution"
    net start bits
    net start wuauserv
    wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
    usoclient.exe startscan

If issue persists, please upload your GPO setting for further troubleshooting.

Hope above helps and look forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,
    Ray
