Do POSReady 2009 support touch screen? Virtual absolute mouse can't work on extended screen. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Our company want to make the touch screen be working on POSReady 2009. We know there is XP tablet could support one finger touch screen. Can POSReady 2009 support touch screen by setting or installing somethings first?

    Beside that,

We already implement a virtual mouse mode in our touch device. The virtual mouse is working on the primary screen, but it can't "move" the cursor to the extended screen. So we are wondering if it is system limitation for a absolute mouse?

We know the relative mouse won't have such problem. But touch screen is a absolute coordination, the virtual mouse should use absolute mode too. Is there any setting in windows POSReady for this situation when connecting to a absolute mouse. Is it a know issue on windows POSReady 2009?

  • For POSReady 2009, you would have to install a 3rd party touch driver to get the touch screen to work. POSReady 7 has some capability built in.
