Is it possible to move sharepoint 2010 team site template to Sharepoint 2013 environment?

  If there is no special customization in the SharePoint 2010 sites, you can export templates for SharePoint 2010, and import them into 2013. However, if there are a lot of data on the site, I suggest you exclude the data in the template, and then manually upload the documents, lists to sp2013

  Hi Dhayanand,

  You can try the following approaches in a test environment firstly, see if they could work:

  • Create a SharePoint 2010 mode site collection from SharePoint 2013 environment, then check if it could upload the saved SharePoint 2010 site template to this site collection.
  • Save the SharePoint 2010 site in a separate content database, and upgrade to SharePoint 2013 with database attachment method.
