How to perform a taskkill for an apppliaction request for user confirmation to close it ,without using force termintaion RRS feed

  • i want to perform a task-kill operation for multitabbed Firefox

    i used these codes

    method 1:taskkill /im firefox.exe (works only it has one tab is open)

    method 2:taskkill /f /im Firefox.exe (it works for multi tab but it forcefully terminates the process)

    when i perform method 1 for multitab opened firefox program it wait for an confirmation from user by displaying the warning dialog box.

    how can i give the confirmation along with method 1 to close the program

    pls suggest a solution

    Taskkill command is used to end one or more tasks or processes. Processes can be killed by process ID or image name. It will directly kill the task or process.

    When you have the multiple same image name of the process, running taskkill /im xxx.exe without /t, the command doesn't know the specific PID, So it will ask you.

    However, If you want to kill a program, generally speaking, there is only one specific image name of the process. Thus it will kill that process directly without any prompting message.
