  • There should be no impact on custom status. SIP High Security Mode offers the following:

TLS transport is required. Server authentication must use either NTLM or Kerberos authentication. Instant messages and SUBSCRIBE SIP messages must pass through the SIP server.

  • Hi,

1, Yes, there is no issue or concern raised by Microsoft even though user add custom status in LYNC.

2, There is no any security issue when you disable the SIPHight security mode in the registry. In the lync server 2010, the lync client is just able to use the TLS protocol to access lync server.

3, Maybe the windows 7 performs higher security policy then win xp.

  • Hello,

Can you please send me the steps to enable the custom status in LYNC from the server side also from the client side which is suggested by the Microsoft LYNC Team?

I think MS will provide two different set of steps for the client as well as for the server side.

    Thanks,

    Puneet
