Windows 10 1809 Feature Update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Now that Microsoft has re-released v1809, I've been looking for it on my WSUS server.  It exists but it is showing no update status for any of my computers.  Most of the computer in my environment have been upgraded to v1803 without an issue but I can't seem to figure out why v1809 show no status at all (failure, needed, installed/not applicable, no status).  Anyone else seeing this?

  • Are your systems actually reporting in? take a look at the last contact time vs last status report time - do they differ greatly or are they in somewhat sync?

  • Hi,

    I also test in my own WSUS lab. It works fine:

    --In WSUS

    --In client

    We should verify th efollowings:
    >Appeove the 1809 to the correct computer group;
    >After approving, the file should be downloaded completely and read for installation;

    >Check for updates in the client side, and the 1809 should be shown in the list.

    Best regards,
    Johnson

  • All systems are reporting in.  As a matter of fact, several of them are installing v1803 that was approved and shows applicable.

  • Are you performing the proper WSUS maintenance including but not limited to running the Server Cleanup Wizard (SCW), declining superseded updates, running the SQL Indexing script, etc.?

  • Yes, I do that weekly.

    For reference, this is what I am seeing for both business and consumer versions of v1809:

  • What about the consumer edition?

  • It shows the same thing.

    Again, for reference, this is what v1803 shows (notice it specifies x64 which none of the v1809 updates show):

  • In a strange twist of fate, we upgraded to Server 2019, re-installed WSUS and suddenly this update is showing as applicable across the board.

    Now I'm curious as to why the 32bit and 64bit feature updates apply to every single machine despite that fact that all of our machines are 64bit.

  • I approved the Feature update to Windows 10 (consumer editions) version 1809 X64 2019-03B, en-us and the PC picked it up through WSUS (version 6.2 ) but the Download Updates bar is at 0%. I waited over 30 min and nothing. No progress. This is a Dell computer that came with Windows 10 Pro installed. Anyone know why it will not upgrade from 1703 to 1809 ???

  • Run the client side script.
