    I am using Windows Vista and am currently trying to set up my children's Xbox 360 to watch videos and T.V. through the Windows Media Center. The Windows Media Center set-up stalls out and fails when it gets to Configuring Extender Settings. I also ger the Error code 0x80070005 on Event ID 507 From the Event Viewer, which when following that to the site it tells me that the only possable Error code for Event Id 507 is 0x8007012b. So what am I doing wrong and how do I fix it. I have successfully connected my sons old Xbox 360 to the computer using the Windows Media Center before with no problems at all.

    Hi,

    The issue may occur when some other application is taking up the WMC files.

    It is suggested to disable your security software or prepare clean boot and try again.
