Performance case - why is this website's JS so slow? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey guys,

we're running a social project in Dresden, Germany. This platform www.afeefa.de supports migrants and civil engagement. It has a very bad performance on IE browsers (even Edge) compared to Chrome and Firefox. There is no complex framework behind it except qooxdoo.org for modular coding and of course jQuery.

Can somebody give us a quick hint where to have a deeper look at the code?

    Thanks a lot!
    Cheers, Felix

Developer Tools (F12), Performance (aka Profiler) and Debugger.  Network capture has timestamps in case that clarifies your symptom description.

  • Leaflet-src.js Line 509.

With ActiveX filtering on the site loads fine.

With ActiveX filtering turned off I get long running script errors.

Check with the authors of leaflet-src.js for updates first.

Open the debug console of the dev tool and search for 'ActiveX'. Place breakpoints on those lines and reload your web page (without closing the dev tool)
