FIM/AD Account unlock RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Can someone confirm whether it is possible that end user can self unlock AD accounts in FIM 2010 R2 version 4.1.3613.0 ?

And what are the limitations associated with this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    Suman

  • Hello,

no FIM only has Self Service Password Reset, which of course also unlocks the account if you configure that.

Account unlock only is a feature implemented with MIM 2016 in the SSLA (Self Service Login Assistant).

So you need to upgrade to MIM if you need that feature, but that isn't that hard as technically MIM is same as FIM in most parts.

  • Hi,

Thank you Peter for your prompt response.

We already have SSPR In our environment but to unlock users account they need to reset their password.

So i was thinking is that possible that we can implement the same in the FIM so that user can self unlock their accounts without resetting their passwords.

Also, i will be new to this .

    Regards,
