  • Hi Leon,

We are planning to do v2v migration from SFB to SFB as a part of DataCenter migration but we are not sure if it is supported. Can some one suggest if it is technically possible ?

  • James - Microsoft will not support Live or Quick migration for sure (for both VMware and HyperV).

Based on my experience, the V2V offline migration will definitely going to success unless if you do not have well-designed and purpose-built vSphere infrastructure. You have to liaise with you virtulization vendor to ensure you have ideal virtualization infrastructure to support Skype for Business application.

You may refer the virtualization guide for VMware and HyperV
