Looking to Build my own PSTN-SfB gateway, does anyone know the dialing scheme needed to send to SfB? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been looking at building my own gateway to handle PSTN only calls and transfer them to skype for business lines to join a conference from phone. Does anyone know if 1) This can be done at all or if you NEED to purchase one of the SfB Certified Gateways? and 2) is the dialing format as easy as something like ConferenceID@phoneNumber?

Thanks for any insights you can provide.

  • Thanks Shankar,

I was looking into this more and it sounds like the users will have a specific number to call the gateway and then we utilize the SfB dial plan to route over to the SfB servers and join the conference.

The question about needing a certified gateway was to understand if there is any particular software that needed to be installed on the gateway so it would be able to work with SfB, otherwise I would like to see if I could make my own, test it and if all goes well get it certified to work with SfB by microsoft.
