Timesheet approval not appearing

  • Project Community Team,

    Can you please assist with an issue we are experiencing? Timesheet approvals are not being sent out to users, and when a user tries to submit their timesheet, the approver is not receiving any notifications either in PWA or via email. Thanks!

  • Hi,

    please check the timesheet manager for users from Resource Center be editing a resource. If Timesheet Manager is the resource, timesheets are approved automatically.

    If you see the correct timesheet manager, please let us know what version you are using. Project Server 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 or Project Online?

  • Hi Barbara, we are using Project Online along with Project 2016. The timesheet manager is not receiving approval requests. Where can the managers go into the system to approve timesheets? Thanks!

  • Hi,

    in Project Online, you need to define Timesheet Managers in "PWA Settings - Timesheet Managers".

    Afterwards, edit resources and select any of the defined Timesheet Managers for each resource.

    Timesheet Managers can see pending approvals in Approval Center.
