Integrate SCOM 2007 R2 with SCVMM 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I integrated the SCOM 2007 R2 with SCVMM 2012 RC. The Diagram Views for the Virtual Machine Manager Management Group is in “Not Monitored “state.

The SCVMM and SCOM servers are under same domain and are Virtual machines.

2 Hosts are added in SCVMM and also in SCOM as agents.

The Agent States are healthy for the agents under Virtual Machine Manager Folder in SCOM console.

In the diagram view the hosts are healthy, but VMM Management group is still in “Not Monitored” state.

Please help me out to resolve this issue asap.

  • Hi,

The VMM Management Group object does not have any monitors associated with it, therefore you will see that the healthstate is in uninitialized state. This is by design. Only those objects which have monitors associated with them, have the right health state and the rest will be in unmonitored/uninitialized state.

Also, you do not need SCVMM console to be installed on SCOM server in 2012.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Darshana,

While integrate the SCOM 2007 R2 with SCVMM 2012 RC the SCVMM MPs are imported automatically in the SCOM console.

I already installed the SCVMM 2012 console on SCOM server.

  • Hi Darshana,

I have done the SCOM 2007 R2 with SCVMM 2008 R2. That is working fine.

I need to integrate SCOM 2007 R2 with SCVMM 2012 RC version. I am getting this diagram view, nothing is monitoring if i use the VMM 2012 related MPs on my Custom MPs.

    Thanks,
