Delete Tape Library RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we are using Firestreamer as virtual tape library and because of some tests, "get-dpmlibrary" shows up two libraries that aren't in use and are not needed anymore. They aren't shown in the GUI. Additional, "get-tape -dpmlibrary" shows some free tapes in one of the old libraries.

How can I delete the unneeded libraries? Is there some SQL-Action needed?

  • It should normally still work, although I haven't needed it (yet) in 2010.

Take a backup first of the Database just to be sure ;-)

    Just my 2 cents

  • Hi,

the old libraries are not shown in DPM management-console or in device manager. They only appear via powershell.

  • I found a SQL-script that was written for DPM2007...is the Database similar between 2007 and 2010?
