Firewall Rule

    Question

  • I need a firewall rule that allows all protocols to and from a specific IP address,

    What would that look like?

    This did not work

That's the old fashioned rule for XP, i suppose :) You MUST specify
    either TCP or UDP, AFAIK.

  • Hi,

Which Operating system version are you running?

If you want to do that via Powershell, you can use the commands like below:

New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "xxx" -Direction Inbound -Action Allow -LocalAddress(or -RemoteAddress) x.x.x.x

New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "xxx" -Direction Outbound -Action Allow -LocalAddress(or -RemoteAddress)x.x.x.x

    Best regards,

    Susie
