Enabling Flash for Chrome by Default RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

So the Google forums didn't do much to help so I figured maybe you guys could. We're having a bit of trouble with Flash Player and Chrome, a previous IT Technician at the school I work for made a few changes to the registry for Chrome to auto disable Flash by default. We have figured out what to change in order to enable us to change Flash from disabled to enabled/always ask but we want to make it so that Flash is enabled by default. I've already heard the spiel about "Flash is on the way out, why even bother." and "Just add stuff to the list of sites." but that's not really an option for us as these are computers in a lab that is open 24/7 for student use and there's really no way for us to know all of the sites that an instructor (particularly online instructors) might use for their students to do work on. So my question to you is this... Does anyone know of a registry edit or a group policy edit that we could use in order to have Flash enabled by default?
