Login failed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey,

I had a running nano Server with the Hyper-V Role and DHCP enabled. After setting a fixed IP-Address I can't login (local) anymore.

Errormessage: Username, Domain or Password is incorrect

Remote-Login with powershell failed too. Virtual Maschines hostet on this Maschine are running well.

    Any suggestions?

  • Is it a domain joined  Nano Server ?

Could you try PowerShell direct to connect to it ?

  • Yes,  Nano-Server is joined to the domain.

    Powershell is not working.

    I think I'll take a image and re-deploy...

  • Hi Antri,

If server is domain joined you should be able to login with your domain admin credentials. IP address has nothing to do with login options. Only thing what can happen is if you change IP locally from DHCP to static on nano server then you will lose DNS settings. DNS settings needs to be configured remotelly.

Second thing if you change ip from dhcp to static you should login with local account not typing domain at the end.

When using powershell try to use host name insted of IP address in Enter-PSSession -Computer Name "hostname".
