How to remove encryption after hard drive was changed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have HP Pavilion with two hard drives. I use one of them (H:) to store all programs including WindowsXP and the second drive (C:) for documents only. I kept one folder encrypted on C: drive. Unfortunetly, drive H: with programs went bad and was replaced. Now, I cannot read the encrypted files in my document folder and cannot remove encryption. I understand it is due to the disk replacement. Is there any way to remove the encryption in this case? I have the old hard disk but it is not functonal.
