Compare Functionality between PWA and Project Professional RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone on this forum know of any documentation that provides a comparison as to what you can do in terms of editing a schedule in PWA compared to Project Professional - I know that plans with task calendars are unavailable for web based editing. By judicious use of custom Project Detail views I guess most other scheduling functions easily handled in the Project Professional scheduling tool could be realised in PWA but are there any other features available in Project Pro that are off limits in PWA?

  • Hi Dominic,

I don't have such a documentation, but I think the functionionality offered by the ribbon in PWA already gives a good idea of what is available!

  • First thoughts....the following features are not available...

    1) Task Calendar
    2) Cost Resources
    3) Allocating Resources at less than 100%
    4) Baseline functionality
    5) Status Date editing (which honestly makes updates a bit challenging)
    6) Editing task notes.
