    Hello,

     

    First time on these forums, I'm not sure if this is the right one for my question but I'm hoping someone can help.  I used to run WinXP SP3 for my OS and had many files encrypted using the standard encryption tool with Windows.  However I've moved to Vista Ult SP1 64-bit edition to work with my increased memory etc..  I had the keys for the encrypted files saved to another HD but now it doesn't work.  I can no longer use the files that were encrypted in XP, is there a way to reverse this situation?

    Hi

     

    As long as you have a backup of the encryption keys (Certificates) you can recover the files.
