Project Plan Server Web Links for Project Application and Accessibility RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good Afternoon,

I am working with our Client and we would like to create a project plan link that will open up the actual Project Plan in MS Project. Our goal is to have the Client to be able to click on this link and it will show the project in our enterprise view. I know that we are able to have the user access through PWA and view the Project Plan tasks there, but is there a better way for the user to do this in Project? We want to just provide the link and have the Project open up in a default saved view off the Enterprise Global format with the view/table already set. Can this be done? Or will the user have to navigate through PWA and open the project manually through there? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

There are two ways to open an enterprise project:

    • From the Project Center page in PWA
    • In the Microsoft Project Professional client

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to create a hyperlink to do this.  Sorry.  Hope this helps.
