Dosument scanning in Windows 7 - strange UI RRS feed

  • Question

  • So the problem is that when I use the scanning/faxing feature in Home Premium I do not really get fully satisfied. I can set up a default scanning options - good. What about naming the new file. This cannot be done by default - would be handy. Anyway I rename the file - it is not possible through pressing F2 from within this program - have to right click it and then each time I do it the field is empty - it doesn't contain the previous name, so if I make a mistake I must retype. Check this out!

Another thing is lack of the XP scan creator. It was quite efficient because I could just quickly go back, back and get forward, forward to quickly scan several documents in row.

Come on think for functionality when you do those things!

  • Hi Bron,

Can you let us know your scanner's model and your system version?
Do you scan files via the scanner's utility or Windows build-in scan function?
If you would get a default name for your new scanned files.
Can you collect a screenshot while renaming your new scanned files?

I doube your scanner driver and utility are not installed properly, so, it's better let us know more detail about your trouble. At the same time, you can try to update your driver and utility for your scanner.
