SharePoint 2010 Backup Advice please

Hi

We currently use an online backup solution which uses software called Assigra to backup the SharePoint server system state and the SharePoint SQL databases.

However this isn't very good for easily restoring individual sites or document libraries.

Is System Centre Data Protection Manager the way forward? id be interested to know how other companies backup there SharePoint farms.

Please advise me on this..

DPM would be a good choice, or you could just leverage the Backup-SPFarm cmdlet as well.

Thanks Trevor, ill install DPM tomorrow and see how it goes.. hopefully its straight forward enough to install

Ill also look at creating a batch file to run backups via powershell
