Improving performance of Disk Protection RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the "Shared Computer Toolkit Manual" there was a chapter about improving the performance of Disk Protection. The administrator was advised to defragment the system partition, moving the page file to a persistent partition and placing event logs also on a persistent partition.

I know that defragmentation still improves the performance in SteadyState but what about the page file?

Also, do the location of the event logs have any impact on the performance?

  • Hi Frederico,

moving page file to other partition but system partition mainly improve the system performance.

changing the location of event logs aims to prevent the event logs from being cleared if  windows disk protect is enabled to clear changes at every restart.
