No left mouse in Win10 VM on Server 2012r2 Hyper-V

    Question

  • 2 Node cluster running Server 2012r2 Hyper-V.  160+ clients running XP, Win7, Server 2008, Server 2012r2, and Server 2016.

3 clients running Windows 10 (2 enterprise/1 pro) and ONLY Win10 exhibits the behaviour, but ALL Win10 does.

The ONLY left-clicks that will work are File Explorer and Show Hidden Icons arrow.

It happens in Failover Cluster Namager console, Hyper-V console or RDP.

Integration Services ARE installed and up-to-date....cluster nodes are up to date as well.

I would LOVE a logical answer for this....even if its "you need to upgrade your Hyper-V environment to Server 2016.

    Thanks-

    Mona

  • Hi Sir,

    >>It happens in Failover Cluster Namager console, Hyper-V console or RDP.

    I haven't seen this odd issue .

Have you checked the driver  version in windows 10 guest OS ?

In this case , I'd suggest you first install latest windows updates for win10 VM .

Also , please try to export this VM to another hyper-v host (2012R2 and 2016) to check if this issue persists .

    Best Regards,

    Elton
