Incident Sources customized? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to remove DCM and OM sources from the Incident Source list. The console will not allow this. I know I can get to them from SQL, but worry it may screw something else up. If we are not using SCCM or SCOM why cannot I delete these sources?

  • By design. The Incident Source List is stored in Incident Management Library which is a sealed Management pack and hence you cannot edit this. You can add new items to this list but cannot delete the ones supplied out of the box. When you add new items you are prompted to store your changes in an unsealed Management Pack and as a result have the ability to edit them.
