Unable to remove Protection Group RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm running a DPM server with 2016 UR4. This weekend the storage pool ran full and all backups stopped. I managed to clear enough space to get most of them working again. But one PG takes a lot of space on disk (26TB) and it also needs a consistency check.
If i run this the disk will be full again, so i would like to stop the protection of the PG and remove the data from disk.

But when i try to do this it fails with ”Error 944: Database operation failed”.
This is a standalone physical DPM server, and i dont have any extra storage to attach.

Any ideas on how i can just simply remove the PG and the disk allocation to free up the space again?

    Thanks
    Mattias

can you try to add some small folders to the PG, and than remove the old Backup Datasoruce.
