Is the task manager application available on the machine learning server? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 10 comes with a great little application to schedule jobs: Task Scheduler. Is that same application available on the Microsoft machine learning server? If so, how can one access it? Else, is there an alternative to schedule job (typically to run R scripts on a regular basis)? Or, should I launch my script locally and set the Revoscaler context to the machine learning server? Thanks!

  • Hi Jerome,

Machine Learning Server is usually installed on Windows Server machines and not on Windows 10, I'm not sure if the app you mention is present there.

However, please check Machine Learning web services:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/machine-learning-server/operationalize/concept-what-are-web-services

You can publish any R code as a web service and then consume it from R or any other language.
