Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a brand new Wireless Keyboard and Optical Mouse (2.0), both Microsoft products.  They have both been installed and work correctly, but now my computer will not go into standby, my screen will not shut down in the time I've alloted, nor will my screensaver turn on.

Anyone have any ideas of how to troubleshoot this problem?

    Thank you.

  • no answer for you sorry

I have a wireless keyboard 3000 with no instructions.  The mouse works.  How do I get the keyboard to connect?  which button do I hit to sync with USB transmitter?

  • Because it's wireless, the computer is continually accessing the gizmo to see if anything has happened -- i.e. mouse click/movement or key press. So it will never go into standby.
