how to create a voice mail in SFB? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All

Does any one have a guide/information of how to set up voice mail in SFB?

My SFB is onprem, and my Exchange is oncloud.

Until I have found tutorials where SFB was online and the GUI there is not like what I have.

So far I know that I need a mailbox. In my case it will probably create an onprem user (a generic user) that I will give an Office 365 license. Not sure exactly which kind.

But what do I do next? What are the steps?

  • Hi Ion Vlad Orascu,

    Agree with Shankar.Paulraj.

Considering you have a full SFB enterprise voice solution already deployed in your organization, additional prerequisites for this would be:

    1.A Lync 2013 Edge server.

2.A spare DDI number for Subscriber Access (Outlook Voice Access).

3.On premises users must be synced to Office 365 by either DirSync or Azure.

4.Office 365 Exchange Online licensing that allows UM.

5.Administrative permissions on both the on premises SFB side and the Office 365 management portal.
