Display resolution is not persistent through reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently replaced my old 1024x768 monitor with a 1680x1050 monitor.  When I boot the system, it defaults to the old resolution.

I can easily change the resolution via the desktop context menu, but it's annoying to have to fix it every time.

I have tried updating the video drivers, and various web searches, without much luck; any guidance would be appreciated.

    System Specs:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz
    Memory: (RAM) 4.00 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Driver version 270.61

  • Hi,

According to your description, Please try to install the driver of the screen for a test.

Also, you may change the resolution in the driver suite.

    Hope this helps.
