Conditional Formatting Check Boxes In Word 2010

I'm trying to set up several check boxes in a group so that when checking off one of the boxes, the text next to the box will change color (for example, red) so that it will stand out. There will be only one selection within a group.

Although process there works with content control drop-downs, the principle is the same. Note too that having a single dropdown is much easier than implementing the code required to ensure checkbox exclusivity.
