Workflow dose not send email in special web application RRS feed

  • Hi

    My sharepoint designer workflow in sharepoint 2007 farm can not send email for several days.

    This problem happen to special web application and in other web applications workflows send email correctly. I check out-going setting in central administration. It’s ok.

    What is the problem?

  • Hi,

    You need to verify few things:

    1. Check web application outgoing email settings for this web application and compare it with other web application.

    2. Then from within one of your WFe server try adding a user in any site in it with eMail option checked. If no error is getting displayed and the user is added successfully then there is no issue with the email settings of this web application.

    3. Try running the workflow from within a WFE server and check the logs to see the issue.

  • Have you check the SharePoint logs? Also possibly the event application logs in windows? for any errors

    I check Web application outgoing e-mail settings in Application Management in Central Administration,

    And also check Outgoing e-mail settings in Operations. Their settings seem be the same apparently, but when I copy the exact mail server address in Outgoing e-mail settings in Operations and paste it to Web application outgoing e-mail settings in Application Management, my workflow emails send successfully.
