Hyper-V Vlan tagging issue RRS feed

  • Question

    • I'm facing issue while configuring Vlan on hyper v server, while configuring hyper-v server disconnected and could not able to reach the server.

I have below setup for hyper v

Two Windows 2008 R2 DC edition server core

Each server has Four NIC cards

Two servers are formed with Failover Cluster and hyper-v running on Failover Cluster

Each Hyper V server running 6 VM so total 12 server

HP NCU Teaming software used for teaming for three NIC cards fourth NIC will be used for Hearbeat for failover cluster

      Vlan : - Server Vlan 100 - 10.0.0.X, DMZ1 Vlan 50 - 192.168.50.x, DMZ2 Vlan 60- 192.168.60.x and DMZ 3 Vlan - 192.168.70.x

Hyper V and VMs are running vlan 100 and few VMs running DMZ1,2,3

10.0.0.x server including hyper-v and vms are reachable without configuring vlan id on hyper-v

After installation of hyper-v i tried to create a First virtual adapter pointing to teamed NIC with VLAN 100 the server got disconnected and could not able to reach, so i have to remove the teaming and split the NIC to reconnect.

Now i want to bring all the servers to run on VM with different vlan ids. Kindly guide me if i missed some configuration on hyper-v
