  • Hi,

Right-click the folder that is located within the file share, go to Properties then go to the Security tab.

    Click on Edit or Advanced.

Click on Add to add a new user, search for the user and add it, then give the permissions:

Once the permissions have been given, click OK.

(If you select an existing user, then click Edit to and then check the Full Control check box and then click OK.)

I would recommend to not insert a user straight under a group, instead add the user to a security group (AD group) and add the group to the Security tab of the folder.

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

The security tab is missing for me! So your solution is not an option - any other way?

  • It's likely that you have a Group Policy that restricts this.
