Cannot uninstall my PXE service point - help RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ive got a problem with my PXE service point so want to remove it & reinstall. When I try to remove it im getting

This PXE service point contains packages. Remove all packages from the PXE service point before removing the PXE service point role from this site system.

I have no OS Images, No OS install packages, no drivers & driver packages only the default SP2 boot images. before upgrading to SP2 I removed the boot images aswell but it still wouldnt let me remove this roll.

    any ideas guys?

  • Have you checked all of your software distribution packages? The PSP is a valid shared based DP so its possible a soft dist package was accidentally assigned to it. Check the SMSPKG_$ share on the the PSP to verify or quickly identify any packages.
