Completely disable Right Mouse Click-Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all

Windows 7 Pro SP1 with ALL updates and IE 10

I'm setting up a kiosk where I have removed the option to disable right mouse click for the context menu on the desktop and on the taskbar HOWEVER I've noticed that if I right mouse click on Internet Explorer v10 on the TASKBAR I still have 2 options 1. Close Internet Explorer or 2. It shows the Internet Explorer icon where I can launch another instance of it.

I can't find it in GPO to remove this last bit of restriction. Basically I want to disable ALL right mouse click even in the taskbar.

    Policies used

    1. Start menu & task bar > Remove access to the context menus for the taskbar

    2. Windows components > Windows Explorer > Remove Windows Explorer's default context menu
