Navigate to SharePoint Central Administration || Shared Services || Search Administration or Search Settings
Click on Content Source on the left navigation and then click on Local Office SharePoint Sites or any other if defined.
Click on Local Office SharePoint Sites and then ensure that the url which you want to crawl exists, finally click on Ok.
Back in the Content Source, Click on the drop down against Local Office SharePoint Sites and Start an Incremental Crawl.
You can initate a full crawl, however as you mentioned that you are getting results from year 2009 you probably already have the site crawled once.
If you get the new items in the search results, I would suggest you to set crawl schedules.
To do so,
Navigate to SharePoint Central Administration || Shared Services || Search Administration or Search Settings
Click on Content Source on the left navigation and then click on Local Office SharePoint Sites and then define the crawl schedule.
Incremental crawl - every 2 hours depending on the data you have.
Full Crawl - 12:00AM every Saturday or Sunday.
Let us know if this helps.
