Office 2010 KMS Issues

Question
-
I am trying to get my machines set up to license through KMS. I keep getting the 7232B error which from what I have read points to my DNS not being correct. I have had this issue with other computers as well and after adding them to my domain and then using ospp.vbs /sethst I was able to get them to work. The computers I am setting up now I don't want to have to add to my domain. They are getting their DNS information from the same DHCP server as the computers that are on the domain. I look forward to getting this resolved. I am more than willing to give any additional information that may be needed.
Thanks,

Hi,
From the problem description, I understand that you would like to plan KMS activation of Office 2010.
There are some links about planning KMS activation of Office 2010 for your reference:
Title: Plan KMS activation of Office 2010
URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff603508.aspx
Title: Plan volume activation of Office 2010
URL: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee624358.aspx
Towards the external Office clients, please make sure KMS are allowed via the firewall.
For the detailed inquires of the KMS of Office, I think the Office Volume Activation forum will be your number one choice.
Regards,
James

Hi, a better forum for your question is here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/officevolact/threads
If your KMSclients can resolve your KMShost when domain-joined, but don't resolve it when they are not joined, this suggests that your domain members are getting some name resolution settings from AD (perhaps your DHCP isn't supplying the necessary domain-suffix-list)
